These appointments brought instant recognition thereby strengthening the agency's foundation and prestige. In 1974 we acquired SAS Scandinavian Airlines, Thai Airways in 1978, Cyprus Airways in 1979, Varig Brazilian Airlines in 1984, China Airlines in 1985, American Airlines in 1994, Air Mauritius, Olympic Airways in 2002, Turkish Airlines in 2003, SN Brussels Airlines, Royal Air Maroc and Planet Travel Network in 2005
